I had switched from time warner cables digital phone service to joiphone, mainly because TW was just too expensive. Once I received the hardware in the mail, and got the phone hooked up. We had a few problems making that first call, which tool 3 calls to customer service to get the problem resolved. My first call I made went through fine, although the quality was a bit scratchy. For the next few days, about 50% of the incoming calls I received, I could hear the caller but the caller could not hear me. I had to drop those calls and call them back. Kind of a real pain for something that is suppose to work as good as or better than my regular phone. In my experience, joiphone works about 50% of the time and there were various problems the other 50% of the time. I don’t feel they are the worst voip provider, but they are certainly not the best.
